What's official and what's an estimate
Where a national statistics office publishes pay for an occupation that matches one of our
careers cleanly, we use its figures: the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the UK Office for
National Statistics, Canada's Job Bank, Singapore's Ministry of Manpower and Jobs and Skills
Australia so far. Everywhere else the figures are
Paygrade estimates from our salary model, and the file says so in the type
column. How both work is on our methodology page, along with a
dated log of every change.
