How accurate is the Paygrade salary calculator?
Estimates are derived from researched median salaries for each career in the US, UK and EU, adjusted with country-level wage factors and each career's real pay spread. Treat the output as a well-informed range, not a quote: company, city and negotiation move real offers by 20% or more.
Which countries does the calculator cover?
Twelve markets: the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Ireland, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, the UAE and Singapore.
Is the salary shown before or after tax?
All figures are gross annual salary, before tax. Tax treatment differs enormously between countries (the UAE has no income tax at all), so check the tax note on each country's salary page.
Where does the salary data come from?
From the same researched dataset behind every Paygrade career profile, aggregated from public salary sources and reviewed by a human. See our methodology page for details.
